B&B OR SELF-CATERING HOUSE IN TULBAGH VALLEY

Oudekloof guest farm has a fully equipped luxury house that sleeps 8-10 people in four large King/Queen Suites. Accommodation is B&B, although the whole house can be taken on a self-catering basis. All rooms are equipped with high grade cotton linen, towels, fans and heaters. Please note that there are no TV's, Fridge or Tea & Coffee Trays in the bedrooms, which are all available in the living areas. The guest farm is situated in the Tulbagh valley, and just a short drive from the town of Tulbagh.

For those who enjoy wide open spaces and designer finishes, Oudekloof guest farm with its executive house is a must. Located on a working wine farm, this self-catering house impresses all who encounter her. The historic homestead was restored in 1999 to its original Cape Dutch appearance and is equipped to the highest executive specifications & modern luxuries.

Designed around socialising and beautiful views, the kitchen, dining room and lounge areas are all open plan and perfect for serious entertaining. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for those seeking self-catering accommodation in Tulbagh. Upstairs the entertainment area features a pool table and large screen TV/entertainment system, opens onto a large sheltered outside dining room with unimaginable mountain views.

Furnished to the highest specifications, all rooms tastefully decorated in a colonial Batavian style and are as opulent as they are comfortable. The two upstairs Executive suites are grand and well appointed and their luxurious ensuite bathoooms boast spa-baths, double vanities and a large walk-in showers. The two downstairs ensuite bed rooms are less grand but no less beautiful and offer own access onto the pool and gardens.

Surrounded by gardens, the substantial back entertainment area is arranged under an old oak tree. Built in seating around a huge central fire/braai area and water feature opens onto awesome mountain views. The self-catering house enjoys a shady front veranda with unobstructed views of the Tulbagh valley below and a large pool for year round swimming.

SHIRAZ
Room 1 - Oudekloof Guest Farm

This large upstairs room is dominated by a King size bed stead, high thatched ceiling and a Juliet balcony offering incredible views over the valley. Opulently decorated with fine furniture, valuable art and Persian carpets, the suite is designed to meet the comforts of the most discerning guests. The jet-master fireplace is ideal for long winter nights.

The large en-suite modern bathroom boasts a spa-bath perfect intense relaxation or a romantic dip for two ... or even three. A double vanity, walk in shower and separate toilet make this a '5-Star' bathroom with powerful mountain views.

CABERNET
Room 2 - Oudekloof Guest Farm

This large upstairs room is dominated by a Queen size bed-stead, high thatched ceiling and a Juliet balcony offering incredible views over the mountain. Opulently, yet tastefully decorated with fine furniture, valuable art and Persian carpets, the suite is designed to meet the comforts of the most discerning guests.

The large en-suite modern bathroom boasts a spa-bath perfect intense relaxation or a romantic dip for two. A double vanity and walk in shower make this a '4-Star' bathroom with powerful mountain views.

BLANC
Room 3 - Oudekloof Guest Farm

This large downstairs suite is beautifully and tastefully decorated with fine furniture, art and Persian carpets to executive specifications. Dominated by awesome views over the valley, the suite enjoys its own access directly to the pool and gardens beyond. Cotton percale linen and an extra length Queen bed-stead makes for long luxurious sleep-ins. Ceiling fans keep one cool in summer, while heaters keep things balmy in the winter months.

The Victorian bathroom boasts an old fashioned high back bath, perfect of a winter soak, while the private courtyard shower is great for cooling down in summer or just showering under the stars. A double vanity and modern finishes make this a unique bathroom experience.

CHENIN
Room Three and a Half - Oudekloof Guest Farm

This standard room has a king bed and wardrobe and is beautifully decorated. It has use of the guest toilet next door or the bathroom of the Chenin suite. For practical purposes this room is not rented out by itself.

CHARDONNAY
Room 4 - Oudekloof Guest Farm

This large downstairs suite is simply & practically furnished with a Queen bed-stead. Dominated by awesome views over the valley, the suite enjoys its own access directly to the pool and gardens beyond. Ceiling fans keep one cool in summer, while a jet-master fireplace is ideal for long winter nights.

The modern bathroom enjoys a double vanity and lovely walk-in shower.

Our Vines & Wines
Oudekloof Guest Farm is a working wine estate, growing roughly 160 tonnes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Chardonnay and Chenin Blanc grapes. Our grapes are used to make award winning wines. These premium wines are mainly for the export market, but are available on site.

Historic Oudekloof Pass
Located beneath the original pass that the Dutch explorers used over the first Cape Mountains, the Oudekloof guest farm has numerous historic sites worth visiting. A half hour walk from the house, on the original Old Cape road (Now a 4x4 track), takes one to the top of the pass and offers views over the Boland all the way to Table Mountain. The original Dutch signaling cannon can also be viewed.
